CreateWhatsAppTemplate creates a new template in Meta.

/api/v1/engagements/integrations/whatsapp/:channelConfigId/templates

Submits a template for Meta's review process. Templates require approval before they can be used for sending messages.

Template Naming​

Names must be lowercase with underscores only (e.g., order_confirmation). Names must be unique per WABA and language.

Review Process​

Templates are reviewed by Meta and typically take 24-48 hours. Marketing templates may take longer.

Errors​

  • NOT_FOUND: Channel configuration not found
  • INVALID_ARGUMENT: Invalid template format
  • ALREADY_EXISTS: Template name already exists
  • FAILED_PRECONDITION: Configuration not verified
